Our Beloved Prophet

I was watching TV when I learned of President Hinkley's passing last night and am very saddened to hear that he is gone. He was such a great man of God. I will miss all of his humor and profound guidance. He accomplished so much in his life time I only wish I can be half as good a person as him. A great man has left us to go to a better place. I just love to think that he is with his beloved Marjorie Hinkley right now. I know he sorely missed her. I feel privileged to have been in his presence. He came to Parowan and I had the great opportunity to see him and Marjorie speak in our chapel. I will never forget the feeling I had being in the same room as him. I know he was a true Prophet. I will miss him as I know so many of you will.

The Weekend from #&$%

I know I am brave for doing this but I just have to tell how my weekend was and it is still going on. Friday my nose started running and by Saturday I felt so crappy with a sinus infection, chills, ache body and no energy. Sunday was the same and also Monday. Come Tuesday I was feeling much better and I was so excited because I thought the worst was over. Then last night my eye started feeling funny and in the night I got up and couldn't even open my eye without prying it open and this morning it looks like I have a big shiner. I guess I have conjunctivitis. Who knows where I got that from. Frankly I don't want to know I just hope it gets better fast. What's weird is that I haven't had something like this happen to my eyes since I was a little kid.

We came home from church and Breanna went and found her helmet and put it on. She asked if we were going snowmobiling. I just thought it was funny to see her all dressed up for church with a motorcycle helmet on. They don't really go together.

New Years Resolution!

Here is my New Years resolution. My Mother-in-law told me a great way to keep your house clean. Not just the surface stuff but the deep down cleaning that gets neglected, at my house anyways. So I am going to try this new schedule. I am going to deep down thoroughly clean one room in my house every month until I get all the rooms clean in my house and then it will be time to start over. I'm actually going to spend the entire month on just one room. That way I can focus on just one place and not be such a scatter brain. It sounds a lot easier to do it this way for me. I just hope I can keep myself motivated enough to do it. If I can't do this than I must be lazy. Lets hope not=).

Don't Take Candy From These Kids

The Kids got up this morning and come to us with candy bars in hand from the cupboard. They were quite proud of themselves until Daddy took them away because they needed to eat real food first. And of course he gave in after all the tears. What a softy.
