Naughty or Nice.........Naughty!

So I have the funniest but not so funny story to tell you. On Christmas Eve the kids got to open their pj's and they were so excited about Santa coming. They went to bet at about 10:00 so we waited until we were sure they were asleep and went to work getting things ready. It was about 12:30 when we went to bed and the kids were sound asleep. I was so tired I just went into one of those long winter's nap sleeps. Well at about 2:00am Justin heard a noise down stairs (the kids rooms are on the main floor and ours is upstairs) so I jumped up because I knew it was one of the kids. Our door was closed so I didn't hear anything its a good thing Justin has good hearing but it wasn't good enough. Taylor was downstairs with all his presents open and almost all of Breanna's too. He even opened about half of the presents under the tree that were Breanna's, Dad's and mine. I don't know how long he had been down there playing it had to be quite awhile. Our door was not shut when we went to bed so we could hear if the kids got up but when I went downstairs it was shut yes.... Taylor shut our door before he got into all the presents so we wouldn't hear. What a smart little stinker! I was so mad but how can you discipline a little kid that is just too excited to wait for everyone else. So I had to clean up all the wrapping paper and set up Breanna's presents again some now unwrapped. We had a good talk with Taylor about not opening other peoples presents and put him in bed in between us. We told Breanna what Taylor had done so all Christmas day when we went to my parents house she had to tell everyone that Taylor opened her presents. Has this ever happened to any of you? I would love to hear your stories. I just want to see if there are other kids out there that are as sneaky as my son. I really wish I had taken pictures but I was too mad to even think about that.

A Bad Day!

So yesterday was a really bad day for me. I let my dog out for a little while that morning. Next thing I knew he was barking a lot so I poked my head out the front door and my Neighbor was yelling at me that he was going to kill my dog. So I hurried and grabbed him, put him in my garage and went across the street to see what was the matter. He had killed their cat and chased his wife because she was trying to stop him and of course he didn't like that. So she was balling holding her dead cat. I said I was sorry a bunch of times and tried not to cry myself because I felt so bad. Then the animal control came over and they agreed that I had to put my dog to sleep. So the animal control followed me over to the vet to make sure it got done. By that time I was balling because I felt so bad about what had happened and that my dog was going to be gone. My neighbor is "The Iron County Sheriff" so I knew I had to do what ever he wanted so I didn't really have a say in it. Now It feels so awkward I don't know if they have hard feelings now. I don't know if they will ever speak to me again. I just hate that feeling of knowing that someone might be mad at me. I feel like I'm just rambling so I will stop now. I just wanted tell someone. Maybe it will make me feel better. I hope you will all have a great Christmas!

Window Painting Season is here!

Well it's that time of the year again. It always seems to sneak up on me way to fast. I can't believe November is almost over. I have started my window painting season a little early this year due to the great weather. I've got to take advantage of that! The local businesses have been very understanding of this and for that I am very grateful. Here are a few pictures of some windows I have done here in Cedar City and Beaver. It has been so fun. My partner has been great (Ashlie) even though her back has been hurting her the whole time. What a trooper! I feel like I have been getting the hang of things finally! Let's just say I have really been enjoying myself. Any of you reading this that live within close proximity of me if you are interested I can paint your windows for Christmas. Just let me know! Curtis got a Liver!

His color is coming back!




Hello Everyone. I have some great news! My Father-in-law got a liver transplant on Monday. We are just so thankful that this time has finely come for him. He has been sick for a long time. Me and Justin went up to Salt Lake on Sunday night because the Dr's said that they had a liver that matched Curtis's blood type and tissue. He was already up there because the day before he was a back-up patient for another liver, so it worked out great for them. We got there at about three in the morning and slept for a couple of hours at Lindsey's house and went to the hospital at seven. Curtis went into surgery right after we got there so we were able to say goodbye and wish him luck. He was in surgery all day Monday from 7:00am to around 7:30pm. So we waited in the waiting room during that time. I don't understand why they don't offer better services to make the waiting process more comfortable for the families. They didn't even have couches to stretch out on, just chairs. Everything went really well as far as the surgery. Curtis didn't wake up from the surgery until Tuesday morning. I snapped a few pictures of Curtis and Justin right after Curtis had woke up. I was also able to get a picture of all of us in the waiting room. It was amazing to see the difference in Curtis just after the surgery. Before he was just yellow and white with no color. As you can see in these pictures his cheeks were already pink and his color is coming back. We talked to Lee Ann last night and he is already out of ICU(usually it takes one to two weeks of staying in the the ICU for liver transplants). So we are very excited that he is recovering so well. As far as the liver all the Dr's would tell us is that it came from Idaho and it was a twenty year old liver. I really cannot stress enough how important it is to be an organ donor. So please look at your drivers licence and see if you are a donor and if not you might want to change that. Some wonderful person saved my father-in-law's life and I will be forever grateful to that person. I'm so thankful to my Heavenly Father for all the blessings he is showering down upon our family! Also I would like to thank all of you for all your support and prayers and for all the donations and help, thanks Mom for watching our kids during this time. We are still taking donations for Curtis, he is going to have to stay up there for a few months and of course he is not working. Thank you for all that you have done to help us, we really appreciate it. Thanks Dan and Sara for letting us stay at your house and for dinner and breakfast it was great thanks for a good night sleep! Love all of you!!!!!!

Halloween Pics!

I am finally posting my Halloween pics. Sorry I'm so late. I have been lazy when it comes to my blog. I know I need to do better! We had a great Halloween It was just me, Justin and the kids. We went to the trunk or Treat and by the end of that the kid's little pumpkin's where already full so we just went trick or treating down one neighborhood street till their pumpkin's where overflowing and went home. Nothing really exciting, me and Justin didn't dress up how lame are we! I know, I know, maybe next year! The kids had a great time it was so fun to watch them. Taylor would take his candy from people and then when they would hand some out for Breanna he would take that too. He knows what he wants and he gets it! I painted Taylor's face a spider man and he loved it. I even put some makeup on Breanna and of course she just loved that.




So I take it that no one is happy with the elections because no one has posted anything about our new president Barack Obama. Tell me your honest opinion about him. I don't know if I really have much of an opinion at all what happens, happens I guess.

Andes Creme De Menthe!

OK so I think I just found my favorite cookie! Those of you that are fans of chocolate and mint together, these are the cookies for you! I have always been a lover of the mint oreos but watch out oreo's you have been replaced! Here is the recipe. They are so easy to make even my Husband makes them! ENJOY!!!!!!!

Andes Creme De Menthe Chunk Cookies
1/2 cup Butter
3/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 cup of White Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs
Mix together then add:
1 Package Andes Creme De Menthe Baking Chips
2 1/2 cups of Flour
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Cool on cookie racks and ENJOY!

I met him at church in Parowan around Christmas time of 98'. His Mom introduced us (she must have known something would develop)!

Nine months, a two year mission, and three months

almost 7 Wonderful YEARS!

4. What does he do that surprises you?
When he is teasing and I still can't tell if he is being serious or not! It drives me nuts sometimes, you would think I would get used to it but I don't.

His big strong arms. I feel so protected when he hugs me.

I love all the common sense that he has! How he loves and plays with his little ones!

He doesn't really like watching any on the TV thank goodness! He does like freestyle motocross a lot.

In his truck three days after he got off his Mission. That was my first kiss. Also we got silently engaged that night. What a kiss:)

2008 Taylor Family Reunion!

The beginning of September my family had our annual reunion. It was at Flaming Gorge and it was so beautiful. It was too short but It was great to see everyone. I just wish more of the family could have made it. Here are just a few pics. Taylor caught his very first fish. We got some fishing in but that was about it because of course the weather was a little bit colder than we wanted so no one got into the water. I'm making this short because there are a ton of pictures and blogging that I need to get on top of. So stay tuned for more blog posts to come.

Taylor went hunting this last weekend with Grandpa Johnson. He had so much fun. Grandpa even bought all of his camo so he would be ready to hunt with the big boys! What a great Grandpa! Breanna insisted on telling us that Taylor and Grandpa went elfing. When we would correct her and say they went Elk Hunting she would just say "I want to say elfing". So funny!

My Father-in-Law!

My Father-in-Law Curtis Johnson was diagnosed with a rare liver disease, Primary Sclerosing cholangitis in March of 2008. He is now in end stage liver failure and his only hope of living a normal life is to have a liver transplant.


Although he has medical insurance there are many expenses not covered as in travel expenses, medicines, the huge co-pays and temporary relocation. To help with these medical expenses a fundraising campaign has been set up through National Transplant Assistants Fund (NTAF). NTAF is a non-profit organization that has been helping people for over 25 years. Donations can be made at your nearest Wells Fargo or Zions Banks in the name of Curtis J. Johnson. Also I am taking donation's through my PayPal account to help. All the money that is donated to my PayPal account I will be giving to Curtis and Lee Ann. We've Got a New Puppy!

Well I never thought I would want an indoor dog. I just didn't want it to ruin my house and poop and pee on everything. Never say never! This last Weekend we all went to Justin's parents house to visit and they had Shitzu puppies and I have to say they were the cutest puppies that I have ever seen. Breanna just wouldn't leave them alone she was so cute with them, a little rough at times:). Breanna kept asking if she could take one home she wanted one soooo bad! Grandma and Grandpa were thinking about it because they have been wanting to give Breanna a puppy for awhile now. Before they had even decided Breanna was heading to the truck with a little puppy under her arm ready to go home it was the cutest thing ever so Grandma and Grandpa couldn't deny her a puppy so we brought him home. I think I wanted him just about as much as Breanna did:). So we have a new addition to our family. His name is Joey and so far we have just loved him. THANK YOU GRANDMA AND GRANDPA!!!!!!

4TH of JULY

We had a great 4th of July. In the morning we went to the parade. Taylor got so excited when a Dodge Viper came down the road and revved up it's engine. He said that was a really cool race car. There was an army tank too. I didn't get pictures of the parade because I forgot my camera.

After that Grandma and Grandpa Taylor came with us on the waterfall hike in Kanarraville. It was so beautiful. In the pics my hair is a little scary but what am I suppose to do when NO ONE TELLS ME! The water was really refreshing because it was really hot! The kids did really good. They loved splashing around in the water. Max our dog came along too. Justin threw him in the water a few times and I don't think Max appreciated that, some parts were pretty deep. I'm sure it felt good to him though. He is a black dog so he had to be really hot.

That night we drove out to the the airport and brought blankets and pillows and layed in the bed of the truck. The airport is where they do the fire works here in Cedar City. The kids where so excited to see them. I'll just say we heard about a hundred Wows and whoes out there! Here are a few pics of our day! Hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend

Hiking!

I have got to get back into the blogging world. I'm sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything. I have a lot of catching up to do. Me and Justin lately have had the urge to go hiking. Probably because it doesn't cost any money to do it! So we went to a neighboring town called Kaneraville just outside of Cedar City and found the most beautiful hike involving a waterfall. The kids thought it was quite the adventure. On this hike we had to cross the stream over a hundred times. The stream felt so refreshing with the weather being so warm. I also had my birthday last weekend! It was a great birthday too. Justin spoiled me with a fillet mignon steak dinner and a homemade birthday cake all made by him. It was really hard not to jump right up and help him with it but I resisted. I'm so proud of myself.

My Baby Turned 3

I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything for awhile but my life has been a little busy lately. My kids got the chicken pocks so I felt like I was holed up in my house for about two weeks. But they are over that now so I'm good to get back to normal. We had an uneventful Memorial Day weekend. The weather was crappy so we just hung out at home. It was really nice and peaceful though. Breanna turned three today. We had a little party with close family nothing real fancy. She loved all her gifts. She was so excited about her birthday. She would keep reminding me that her birthday was coming up. She wasn't about to let me forget about it. I swear without kids in our life it sure would be boring. I love being a Mom it is the greatest gift in the world. Justin took these pictures of me with the kids and entered me in a contest at a radio station, with this first photo, for who is the Hottest Momma! You guys will have to vote for me.
